South African · SARS Compliant · 2025/2026 Tax Year
TaxVault gives South African taxpayers a secure, organised home for every invoice, receipt, and tax certificate — encrypted, access-controlled, and ready when SARS needs them.
Every document you upload is encrypted before it is stored. Neither TaxVault personnel nor any third party can read the contents of your vault without your authenticated access.
Your documents are accessible exclusively through verified, token-based requests tied to your account. No document is ever exposed through a public or shared link.
Document files are never written to your device's storage or gallery. They live on secured servers and are only rendered within the app during your authenticated session.
Every upload, view, and deletion is logged with a timestamp against your account. You can export your complete audit history at any time from within the app.
Each document is checked against your existing vault before it is stored. If you accidentally scan the same document twice, TaxVault catches it and warns you first.
Documents are held only for the period your plan requires. When your retention period ends — or when you delete your account — your documents are permanently and irreversibly removed.
Photograph an invoice and TaxVault reads the vendor, amount, date, and VAT number automatically — no manual typing required.
Documents are sorted by SA tax year (1 March – 28 Feb). Upload for the current year or retroactively for up to four years past.
If a document's date falls outside the selected tax year, TaxVault warns you before filing — preventing misclassified records at SARS.
Import a bank statement and TaxVault matches transactions to documents already in your vault — reconciliation that used to take hours, done in seconds.
Generate SARS-compliant donation tax certificates for qualifying charitable contributions, directly from the app.
Export a structured summary of your documents and their metadata — formatted for easy handover to your accountant or for a SARS audit.
All prices include VAT. Subscriptions managed through Google Play. Cancel any time.

TaxVault is a South African software company providing a secure tax document management application for Android. Our registered contact address for privacy matters is support@taxvault.site. This policy applies to the TaxVault mobile application and its supporting services.
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
We do not collect location data, contacts, call logs, browsing history, or any data unrelated to tax document management.
We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
The security of your documents is TaxVault's primary commitment. All documents are encrypted during transfer and during storage. Access to your vault requires authenticated credentials at all times — no document is accessible without your verified login. TaxVault employees do not have access to the contents of your documents. Your documents are never transmitted to or stored on your device's local storage outside the app.
When you upload a document, its image is analysed by an AI service to extract key fields such as vendor name, amount, and date. This analysis takes place on secured servers. Document images are not retained by the AI processing service once analysis is complete. The results are saved in your vault as structured data.
Documents are retained according to your subscription plan:
Security logs are retained for 90 days. When your account is deleted, all documents, extracted data, and personal information are permanently and irreversibly removed within 30 days.
As a data subject under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), you have the right to:
Account deletion can be completed directly from within the app under Account → Delete Account. For all other rights requests, contact us at support@taxvault.site. We respond within 30 days.
TaxVault is intended for adults managing their own tax affairs. We do not knowingly collect information from persons under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be communicated via the app. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of TaxVault after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
